Flood Warning Info - Beauly Firth

A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Beauly Firth. A combination of spring high tides, storm surge, and strong winds means there is a risk of coastal flooding on Thursday and Friday to low lying land, roads and properties along the Beauly Firth including Kilmuir, North Kessock, Redcastle, Beauly, and Bunchrew. Flooding is expected for a few hours around the times of high tides over the next few days around 14:00 on Thursday afternoon and 02:30 on Friday morning. The high tide on Thursday afternoon will be the highest of any of the tides this week. There will remain a risk of flooding into Friday morning as winds move round to the North and will be gale force for a time increasing wave heights along the Moray coast. A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Beauly Firth. A combination of high tides and prevailing weather conditions means that flooding from the sea is expected to affect low lying land, roads and properties along the coastline in Kilmuir, Redcastle and Bunchrew. Flooding impacts are expected around the time of high tide. Three main peaks will occur. The first between 11:00 and 13:00 Sunday morning. The second will happen between 23:00 on Sunday night till 02:00 early on Monday morning. The third high tide will be around Monday lunchtime.
